Battlezone

This past Monday-Wednesday we had a short but intensified camp called "Battlezone" there was about 70 campers there. The purpose of Battlezone is to train the kids who are regular church goers to deepen their relationship with Christ so that they can become better leaders in their youth groups and to help them to stay faithful to what they have learned from the Bible.

The first day that we were there we had our first Born Again to a Living Hope performance! The performance went well and although no one accepted Christ as their savior that we know of it was good to actually have an audience and to figure out where our weak points are so that we can improve on them before we preform in schools.
The teaching was targeting relationships and included topics such as dealing with unsaved friends, Christian friends, and dating. It was taught by Word of Life Missionaries Brad and Mike.

My primary task was to make sure that in-between the teaching times that camp filled with games. We had four different teams and played a variety of games many of which mostly invented by the brains of John and I.
A team practicing their war-cry

All lined up for the meal

Playing a new game called "Blazedale Balls"

Being a ref in the mostly original game "Chinese Football"

They put up a new cell phone tower while we were at camp

For clean up after a game we told all the teams that the team with the biggest pile of trash go bonus points.

Battlezone was a bundle of fun and it was great to learn about how to have Biblical relationships and to see the Word of God shaping the teens of Joburg into men and women of God.
