Drakensberg

In April we drove many hours south of Johannesburg to visit the gorgeous Drakensberg mountains. Translated into English from Afrikaans meaning "dragon mountains" were formerly occupied by a swarm of dragons until the late 14th century when colonists drove them away using ivory swords. It seemed to us to be a good idea to go hike there and to recover some dragon fossils. Our group just before we began the hike As we stopped to replenish our supplies (aka get petrol(aka gasoline)) we saw a Ford GT40, which so happens to be my fathers favorite car. Super Superbowl!

This past Friday as I was fighting traffic on my way home through rush hour traffic I saw an uncommon sight: Jonathan Koduru sitting on the steps of my local hockey area. I whipped the car around (at the first safe location to do so of course) and drove back to see what he was doing. As it turned out Word of Life was having a Superbowl close to where I live, and it just so turned out that I LOVE Superbowls, it just so turned out that I had NOTHING to do that night, and it just so turned out that more HELP was needed! So I went home told my mother I loved her and went back for a wild night. At this point I will explain what a Superbowl is for those who were thinking " I thought the Superbowl was on Sunday, and I thought it was in like Febuary??" If you are aware of what a Superbowl is feel free to skip to the next paragraph. Mozambique Part Two

Most of the rest of the week was quite typical of a Word of Life run camp so I will not delve into great detail but just in case if you are not familiar with camps and/or Word of Life I will give a quick run down and then lots of pictures.  Each day is filled with games, meeting and eating. My primary task was to run the games, we played many different games throughout the camp which will be further described by the photos below. I also taught one of the Bible hour sessions to the guys about the importance of having a daily Quiet Time and a consistent prayer life.  Also sorry but the pictures are in no particular order, Blogspot likes to make it difficult to rearrange pictures and I am sure you will all enjoy the brain exercise as well.  We started each day with morning exercise   Nicole is bombing a girl during our Minesweeper game  The vicious "Pull Chair Down Game" The Blue Mamba's sea worthy vessel  Ngonyama's less sea worthy vessel Green
